Hurricane Valley (which is pronounced "Hur-i-kin" by local residents) is located just north of Washington City and only about 20 miles northeast of the Arizona border. Hurricane Valley is the gateway to incredible scenic wonders found nowhere else on the planet. The landscape is breathtaking and the geologic history reveals itself to you as you drive, hike, or pedal your way through the amazing vistas and scenery that surround Hurricane.
Hurricane is only 25 miles from Zion National Park, an hour and a half from Lake Powell and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Hurricane is home to two lakes that allow boating and recreation - Quail Lake and Sand Hollow State Park. Speaking of Sand Hollow State Park, there are incredible sand dunes and miles of "Moab-like" slick rock inside the park which is designated for endless off roading. Jeepers and OHV enthusiasts come from all over to enjoy the challenges and fun that Sand Hollow has to offer. Hurricane also boasts two world class golf courses - Sand Hollow Resort, and Sky Mountain Golf Course.
